The goal of Yoga4Ukraine to find 1,000 yoga teachers all around the world to each donate ONE yoga class!

Any style, any format, anywhere, anytime - but on one condition:

All money will be donated to one of two trusted and verified organizations for medical and humanitarian aid:

Razom is providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery to address the most urgent needs as they evolve. Razom has provided more than 200 tons of tactical medicine, hospital supplies and medicines, and communication devices that get delivered by volunteers and partners throughout Ukraine to regions that need it most.

UNITED24 was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Funds will be transferred to the official accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated by assigned ministries to cover the most pressing needs. Medical aid is one of their three donation directions.

IMPORTANT: Yoga4Ukraine will not handle donations. All donations will be collected by the yoga teacher and donated directly by card, Paypal, bank transfer, etc. to the organizations above. We ask all yoga teachers to provide screenshots as proof of donations and to track amount raised through Yoga4Ukraine classes.

Message from the founder

Hello!

Thank you so much for interest in this new project! My name is Ania. I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. I have been lucky enough to have the chance to live and do yoga all over the world. I have seen and felt the transformative power of yoga to bring people together and transform stress and pain into peace and health. As a yoga teacher, I’ve loved seeing my students be challenged and become stronger, more confident versions of themselves.

I started this project in October 2022 as an opportunity to bring together what I know is an incredibly large and powerful network of actors - yoga teachers - around the world, to help support medical and humanitarian aid in the ongoing war in my home country.

I’m incredibly excited to see what we can achieve together!

  • Fill in YOGA4UKRAINE Teacher Sign Up form, tell us some basic info about yourself and send us your picture!

    We will add you as one of our 1,000 partner teachers!

  • Yes! Please fill in the Yoga4Ukraine Class Registration form and include any images and/or video that you would like us to share on the website and social media! You can also email to yoga4ukraineproject@gmail.com

    Also please send us pictures and videos from the class itself, and we will share on our social media, or tag us @yoga4ukraineproject!

  • Encourage your yoga teacher to donate a class for Ukraine! Then, attend the class and encourage your friends to come!

    You can send us a picture from the class or tag us in your post @yoga4ukraineproject.

  • This project is started by Ania, who is a certified yoga teacher and has been teaching for 5 years all over the US. She has seen how powerful yoga can be in bringing people together and help restore both physical, mental and spiritual health. This is incredibly important in times of war!

  • This number comes from a very painful statistic. According to UNICEF, the war in Ukraine has killed or injured at least 1,000 children as of August 2022. Our hope is that each of our 1,000 yoga classes can help those that have survived but are in need of medical aid.

  • Any and all yoga styles are able to participate!

  • No! You can teach in any language that you are comfortable.

  • Of course! The more classes you host, the more money you are able to raise. BUT we are asking you to focus your efforts on one class at least as a start, since it is easier to gather many people on one day than spread it out over weeks/months.

  • Of course! We cannot offer any technical support, but if you are able to host an online class, that is fantastic since you can reach people all over the world!!

  • We do not check certifications, but we do encourage our partner teachers to have some certification or experience for the safety of their students during the class.

  • We are looking for participation of teachers all over the world!!

  • All donations should be coordinated with the yoga studio or yoga teacher who is hosting the class. We will not handle any donations directly!

  • We are offering two verified options for where the yoga teacher can donate all the money to:

    RAZOM for Ukraine https://www.razomforukraine.org/donate for medical supplies and humanitarian aid.

    We ask all teachers to send us screenshots to confirm the amounts donated, and we will post those images for accountability and tracking!

  • Both UNITED24 and RAZOM for Ukraine publish reports and post on social media showing where they have spent the donation money. Please check out their websites and follow them on social media:

  • We are encouraging all yoga teachers to keep the donation amount open as a part of this project, though they may have a “suggested” amount listed. Donate as much as you are able to! Any amount helps!

  • We will post all the classes that are officially registered with us on the CLASSES page and on our social media!

  • The goal is to reach 1,000 teachers and 1,000 classes however long it takes! Originally we wanted to have a deadline by the beginning of 2023, but we are going to keep going as long as it takes!!

  • We are asking all the yoga teachers to send us a screenshot of the donation to 1. track total amount raised and 2. keep accountability on where the donations have been sent. We will post these on our website and social media!
